Actress Aneet Padda, who recently gained immense recognition for her role in the blockbuster Saiyaara, is preparing to appear for her college final-year exams in December–January before she begins filming her next venture, Shakti Shalini.

Dinesh Vijan is directing the film under his Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU) banner and will release it on 24 December 2026.

A source close to the actress shared, “It’s truly inspiring that Aneet has achieved so much success at such a young age. She represents the new generation of Indian talent. Despite her hectic schedule, she is committed to completing her education before taking on her next major project.”

The young actress is pursuing a BA (Hons) in Political Science, diligently preparing for her final exams while managing professional commitments.

The source added, “Aneet is focused and disciplined. Her team has meticulously planned her schedule so she can dedicate time to both her studies and her upcoming film preparations.”

Her dedication to academics alongside a flourishing acting career has made her a role model for many aspiring young artists, balancing education and creative pursuits.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Shakti Shalini marks another ambitious addition to the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, which has previously delivered successful titles blending supernatural themes with light-hearted storytelling.

The film will feature Aneet Padda in the lead role, further establishing her as one of Bollywood’s most promising Gen Z faces.

Shakti Shalini combines humour, mystery, and empowerment, continuing Maddock’s signature style of smartly crafted horror comedies that resonate with young audiences.

Aneet Padda began her acting career with a brief role in Salaam Venky (2022) and made her digital debut in the Prime Video series Big Girls Don’t Cry, where she portrayed a student navigating life in a boarding school.

Her breakthrough came with Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara, where she played a songwriter battling early-onset Alzheimer’s.

The film struck a deep emotional chord with audiences and emerged as the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025 and the highest-grossing Indian romantic film.

The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU), known for blending spookiness with humour, continues to grow with each project.

Its latest release, Thamma, starring Rashmika Mandanna, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, received wide acclaim for its innovative storytelling.
