Preparations Underway for Public Meeting
The review meeting at the State Secretariat included ministers Nara Lokesh, BC Janardhan Reddy, Anagani, and Kandula Durgesh, along with senior officials such as the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police.
CM Naidu directed officials to ensure arrangements account for weather conditions and to provide a comfortable experience for attendees. The TDP-led NDA government aims to achieve success, surpassing earlier programmes attended by the Prime Minister in Amaravati and Visakhapatnam.
The state government passed a resolution last month welcoming GST-2.0 reforms introduced by the Centre.
A campaign running from Dussehra to Diwali under the banner of GST Reforms Utsav aims to spread awareness of these reforms. The public meeting in Kurnool forms a key part of this campaign.
CM Naidu also plans to discuss with the Prime Minister the development of Srisailam Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, including a request to allocate 2,000 hectares of forest land for the project, as decided in a meeting held on October 5.
Officials are coordinating to ensure that the Prime Minister’s visit promotes both GST awareness and regional cultural and infrastructural development while ensuring a smooth experience for the public.
