Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised Team India’s remarkable five-wicket win over Pakistan in the final of the Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025, held at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.
Hailing the triumph as ‘phenomenal’, Shah emphasised that the victory reflected Bharat’s indomitable spirit and destiny to succeed across every field.
Posting on X, Shah wrote, “A phenomenal victory. The fierce energy of our boys blew up the rivals again. Bharat is destined to win no matter which field.” His message captured the elation of millions of fans who celebrated India’s commanding performance in the high-stakes final.

The victory sealed India’s ninth Asia Cup title and extended their unbeaten streak in the tournament.
Although Pakistan appeared dominant early in their innings—reaching 113/1 in 12.4 overs—India’s spinners engineered a sensational comeback.
Kuldeep Yadav spearheaded the turnaround, dismantling the middle order and triggering a collapse that saw Pakistan lose nine wickets for just 33 runs, bowled out for 146 in 19.1 overs.
Kuldeep, who conceded 23 runs in his first two overs, finished with impressive figures of 4/30, including three crucial wickets in a decisive 17th over.
Axar Patel and Varun Chakaravarthy claimed two wickets each, while Jasprit Bumrah struck twice in the final overs to seal a disciplined bowling performance.
Tilak Varma Leads the Chase
Chasing 147, India endured a shaky start, slipping to 20/3 after losing Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, and skipper Suryakumar Yadav.
However, young Tilak Varma anchored the innings with an unbeaten 69 off 51 balls, displaying composure and maturity under pressure.
His innings, laced with three fours and four sixes, stabilised the chase alongside a late burst from Shivam Dube, whose powerful strokes ensured India reached the target with two balls remaining.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also joined in applauding the team’s victory, drawing a symbolic comparison to India’s strength in other arenas.
Posting on X, he wrote, “#OperationSindoor on the games field. Outcome is the same – India wins! Congrats to our cricketers.”

In a bold off-field gesture, Team India reportedly declined to accept the trophy and medals from Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who also heads the Pakistan Cricket Board.
BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya described the move as a powerful statement by the Indian team, underscoring national pride and self-respect.
India’s Asia Cup triumph once again highlighted the team’s resilience, depth, and ability to thrive under pressure.
Leaders hailed the victory not only as a sporting milestone but also as a reflection of Bharat’s unstoppable spirit—destined to achieve excellence, whether on the battlefield, in diplomacy, or on the cricket pitch.
