Film actress Karisma Kapoor’s children have approached the Delhi High Court in connection with a ₹30,000 crore property dispute. The petition was filed after Sanjay Kapoor’s wife, Priya Sachdev Kapoor, was appointed director of his company worth ₹30,000 crore.
The children alleged that their stepmother conspired to transfer the entire estate in her name by producing a fake will. They claimed they were wrongfully excluded from their father’s property.
The petition has named Priya Kapoor, her minor son, mother-in-law Rani Kapoor, and others as parties.
The children demanded that they be declared legal heirs and each be allotted one-fifth of Sanjay Kapoor’s property. They also sought a ban on the disposal of his personal assets.
Sanjay Kapoor, who married Karisma Kapoor in 2003 and divorced her in 2016, passed away in the United Kingdom in June 2025.
Allegations of Fake Will
The petitioners alleged that Priya Kapoor, along with associates Dinesh Agarwal and Nitin Sharma, suppressed the will for seven weeks before presenting it at a family meeting on 30 July 2025.
They claimed the will was fabricated under suspicious circumstances. They further stated that neither the original document nor its copy had been shown to them.
According to their petition, the disputed will unfairly favoured Priya Kapoor, excluding Sanjay Kapoor’s children from inheritance. The children insisted the will lacked authenticity and was presented only to mislead the family members.
Circumstances of Sanjay Kapoor’s Death
Sanjay Kapoor died in London while playing golf. Medical reports, however, revealed that a bee entered his mouth, after which he suffered a fatal heart attack. His sudden death sparked the ongoing Karisma Kapoor property dispute.
The case has now reached the Delhi High Court, where the children are fighting for their legal rights.
The High Court is expected to review the matter and decide on the petition seeking recognition of the children as rightful heirs to the late businessman’s estate.
