Yoga not only strengthens the body but also empowers the mind, said Acharya Pawan Tripathi, Treasurer of the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple Trust.
He made this statement while addressing journalists during a special yoga camp organised at the temple premises on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
Acharya Tripathi: Yoga is a holistic practice
Acharya Tripathi said yoga is an ancient practice that supports physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
“Yoga is not just about performing physical postures,” he said. “It represents a holistic approach to health and wellness. Along with the body, it strengthens the mind too.”
He added that healthy citizens are essential to a strong nation, and therefore, public health must be a priority.
“Rooted in Indian cultural values, yoga offers numerous benefits that support a healthy and balanced life,” he said.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from temple officials, staff, and a large number of devotees.
Present at the occasion were Temple Trust Member Mahesh Mudliar, Executive Officer Veena Patil, Deputy Executive Officer, and other trustees and employees of the temple.
The yoga camp was part of a broader initiative to promote wellness and celebrate India’s rich spiritual traditions on the global platform of International Yoga Day.
