An all-party parliamentary delegation led by Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Jha arrived in Singapore on Tuesday as part of India’s global outreach initiative under Operation Sindoor.
The delegation aims to highlight India’s unified and robust stance against terrorism, particularly in light of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
Delegation Meets Singapore’s Senior Minister Sim Ann
On their first day in Singapore, the Indian delegation met Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs of Singapore.
During the meeting, the delegation conveyed India’s evolving ‘new normal’ policy of combating terrorism, shaped by the recent Pahalgam attack and the launch of Operation Sindoor.
The Indian High Commission in Singapore shared details of the meeting on the social media platform X, stating, “All-Party Parliamentary Delegation called on H.E. Ms Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs of Singapore. The delegation conveyed India’s stance on the events since the terror attack in Pahalgam, Operation Sindoor and the new normal in India’s policy of combating terrorism. ”

Broad Engagements Planned In Singapore
Over the next two days, the delegation will engage with a wide range of stakeholders in Singapore, including Ministers, Members of Parliament, think tanks, academic institutions, business leaders, media representatives, and the Indian diaspora.
Sanjay Jha posted on X, “Our all-party Indian parliamentary delegation has arrived in Singapore to further India’s global outreach on peace and security. ”
“Over the next two days, we will meet with Hon’ble Ministers, Members of Parliament, representatives of think tanks, academia, business, media and the Indian community — to convey India’s national consensus and collective resolve against terrorism,” the post added.

He expressed optimism that the visit would deepen bilateral ties and reinforce India–Singapore cooperation for global peace and security.
Singapore High Commissioner Briefs Delegation
Before the official meetings, Indian High Commissioner to Singapore Shilpak Ambule briefed the delegation, setting the stage for discussions on India’s counter-terrorism policies and objectives during the visit.
The delegation includes a diverse group of Indian political leaders and diplomats:
- BJP MPs: Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Hemang Joshi, and Pradan Baruah
- Trinamool Congress MP: Abhishek Banerjee
- CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member: John Barittas
- Senior Congress leader: Salman Khurshid
- Former Indian Ambassador to France: Mohan Kumar
Follow-Up To Visits In South Korea & Japan
The Singapore visit, however, follows successful engagements in South Korea and Japan, where the delegation articulated India’s firm stance on zero tolerance towards terrorism.
In South Korea, members addressed leading media outlets, emphasising that Operation Sindoor represents India’s targeted and justified response to terrorism.
They also highlighted that the global fight against terrorism requires a collective international effort, not just India’s resolve.
