CM Sharma Criticised Previous Governments For Delay
CM Sharma criticised past Congress governments for politicising the water issue without delivering results.
In contrast, the current administration, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the cooperation of Haryana’s government, has signed a concrete agreement to supply Yamuna water to Shekhawati.
Double-Engine Government Acts Like Triple-Engine
Highlighting the collaborative efforts, CM Sharma noted that the state and central governments are functioning together effectively like a ‘triple engine’ to bring water to the region.
The Yamuna Water Agreement stands as proof of this cooperative development.
Congress Faces Allegations Of Contradiction
CM Sharma pointed out contradictions in the Congress party’s stance.
While their manifesto in Haryana proposed cancelling the water agreement, Rajasthan Congress leaders failed to oppose it during campaign visits.
He also criticised former Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasara, a native of Shekhawati, for not making any substantial efforts.
Women Lead Emotional Welcome With Mangalgaan
Women in Shekhawati greeted the Chief Minister with traditional Mangalgaan songs, reflecting the region’s strong emotional connect and appreciation for the project.
They especially acknowledged the efforts of PM Modi and CM Sharma for addressing their long-standing water concerns.
Large crowds gathered at every stop, including Jhunjhunu toll plaza, Nawalgarh, and Mandawa, to express their gratitude.
People thronged to catch a glimpse of the Chief Minister, displaying immense enthusiasm and support.
The Chief Minister began his Sunday with visits to several religious sites, including Chitrakoot Balaji Temple, Karunga Mahadev Temple, Sant Shiromani Budh Giri Maharaj Temple, and Lakshmi Narayan Temple in Fatehpur Shekhawati.
At a public hearing held at Jhunjhunu Circuit House, CM Sharma personally addressed public grievances.
He instructed officials to resolve citizen issues without delay, emphasising responsive governance.
Massive Welcomes Across Shekhawati
The Chief Minister received a grand welcome at Gudha Mod (Udaipurwati), Chidawa, Pilani Bypass, and Pilani.
The overwhelming public turnout across locations showed a deep appreciation for the government’s commitment to resolving water scarcity.
The visit underscored the public’s belief that determined leadership can drive meaningful change.
Despite extreme weather, the people of Shekhawati rallied behind CM Sharma, hopeful and grateful for the Yamuna Water Project finally becoming a reality.
