Nissan Motor India reported a 44.76% year-on-year sales growth in February 2025, reaching 8,567 units. This increase was driven by strong export demand. The company had sold 5,918 units in February 2024.
However, domestic sales declined to 2,328 units, down from 2,755 units last year. Meanwhile, exports nearly doubled, rising 97% to 6,239 units, compared to 3,163 units in February 2024.
Nissan India Exports Magnite SUVs In Record Numbers
Nissan announced that the Magnite SUV has crossed 50,000 cumulative exports since launch. The Magnite lineup is now fully E20-compliant, with the BR10 naturally aspirated engine recently meeting the standards, following the HR10 turbocharged petrol engine in August 2024.
“Our strategy focuses on future-ready mobility solutions and evolving environmental standards. This achievement highlights the trust in Nissan’s quality, innovation, and performance,” said Nissan Motor India MD Saurabh Vatsa.
The company expanded Magnite exports in 2025. In January, Nissan shipped 2,900 left-hand drive units to Latin America. In February, the company exported over 2,000 units to the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia Pacific. Additionally, more than 5,100 units were sent to Latin America. By February-end, total exports of the Magnite exceeded 10,000 units.
Nissan’s global expansion strategy has helped offset domestic sales decline, with the Magnite leading export growth.
