On Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed enhanced arrangements for the expected 8-10 crore devotees at the Sangam during the Maha Kumbh on Mauni Amavasya, 29 January.
Reviewing the turnout of over 6 crore devotees during the Paush Purnima and Makar Sankranti festivals at the Maha Kumbh, he emphasized the need for improved preparations for the upcoming event in a high-level meeting with senior officials.
He instructed officials to coordinate with the railways to ensure the timely operation of special Maha Kumbh trains, highlighting the importance of both regular and special trains running continuously with increased frequency to accommodate the large number of devotees.

The Chief Minister also emphasized the need to strengthen the mobile network in the fair area, as well as ensure continuous operation of buses, shuttle buses, and electric buses.
He further stressed the importance of regular toilet cleaning, barricading of ghats, and ensuring a 24×7 supply of electricity and drinking water in all sectors.
Key officials, including the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Principal Secretaries of Home and Information, Urban Development, Chairman of the Power Corporation, and Director of Information, attended the meeting.
