Yogi Adityanath Reviews Mahakumbh Preparations in Prayagraj; Urges Cleanliness and Hospitality

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj to review the ongoing preparations for the Mahakumbh and the public meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled for December 13. During his visit, he met with BJP workers at the Chandrashekhar Azad Circuit House and praised their role in securing the party’s victory in the Phulpur by-election. Adityanath highlighted that the victory was crucial, setting the stage for a grand Mahakumbh celebration.

The Chief Minister underscored that Prayagraj, with its deep religious and historical significance, must be showcased as a hub of spirituality and energy during the Mahakumbh. He proposed leveraging digital platforms to promote songs, slogans, and stories related to local figures like Rishi Bhardwaj and revolutionary freedom fighters such as Chandrashekhar Azad.

Adityanath also stressed the importance of hospitality, urging workers to ensure that visitors feel welcomed and cared for during the event. “Prayagraj should reflect the spirit of devotion and service,” he said. In line with this, he called for a cleanliness drive across the city, particularly from December 10 to 13, when all statues of prominent figures should be cleaned. He also emphasized creating a warm reception for PM Modi, who will visit on December 13 to assess Mahakumbh preparations.

The Chief Minister met with local BJP leaders to discuss logistical arrangements, including the distribution of invitation letters, providing refreshments, and coordinating with the administrative system to ensure a smooth event for the Prime Minister’s visit.

District Spokesperson Rajesh Kesarwani addressed local concerns raised by the Janhit Sangharsh Samiti and the Vyapari Ekta Samiti, with the former opposing the removal of small shops, and the latter calling for the removal of liquor and meat shops in the area in connection with the Mahakumbh.

Upon his arrival at the Chandrashekhar Azad Circuit House, Adityanath was welcomed by BJP leaders and workers, including Metropolitan President Rajendra Mishra, Cabinet Ministers Swatantra Dev Singh and Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, along with several other prominent leaders and party members.
