Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a key election rally in Faridabad on Tuesday as part of his campaign for the Haryana Assembly elections, scheduled for October 5. This will be Modi’s fourth visit to the poll-bound state during the campaign.
During the rally, the Prime Minister will urge voters to support Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates across all nine Assembly constituencies in the district. During a previous rally in Sonipat, Modi critiqued the Congress party’s manifesto and suggested that the party should first fulfill its promises in Karnataka and Telangana, where it currently holds power.

Preparations for the rally are underway, with the event expected to take place on the Faridabad-Palwal border within the Prithla Assembly constituency. The BJP has previously benefited from Modi’s appearances; in the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, his rally in Sector 61 contributed to the election of seven BJP MLAs.
In anticipation of the large turnout, Faridabad Police have issued a traffic advisory to ensure smooth flow and maintain law and order. Restrictions will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., prohibiting the entry of all types of vehicles into Palwal from Faridabad and Delhi, as well as on the Agra-Mathura Highway (NH-44).
Authorities advise commuters traveling from Faridabad to Palwal to use the KMP/KGP (Western Peripheral Expressway) or the Vadodara Expressway instead of NH-44. The police also recommend public transport during the restricted hours to alleviate congestion.
With the 90-member Haryana Assembly poised for elections on October 5, the BJP aims to secure a third consecutive term, while the Congress hopes to reclaim power after a decade. Vote counting is schedule for October 8.ints.
