The authorities aim to complete these facilities within three years, marking a critical early phase of the project’s development.
Financially, the endeavor necessitates a substantial investment of Rs 1,510 crore.
The breakdown includes Rs 50 crore allocated for construction over the initial two years, escalating to Rs 75 crore in the third year.
Rs 100 crore per annum is an earmark for funding phases spanning the fourth to eighth years.
Arunvir Singh, CEO of YEIDA, detailed financial allocations: Rs 832.91 crore for filming components like studio backlots and open sets, Rs 373.93 crore for accommodations, Rs 315.07 crore for service amenities, Rs 109.60 crore for offices, and Rs 76.44 crore for essential infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the sprawling Film City will encompass 230 acres, with 135 acres dedicated specifically to filming facilities and an additional 21 acres reserved for the Film Institute.
The remaining 75 acres will however accommodate various commercial uses, including service accommodations, hospitality, retail developments, and offices.
During the signing ceremony, Boney Kapoor expressed enthusiasm, noting that planning for the Film City had commenced well before the formal agreement.
Drawing inspiration from global studio visits, Kapoor further asserted that the International Film City in Uttar Pradesh aspires to set new benchmarks in global film production infrastructure.
Emphasizing connectivity as a crucial facet of the project, YEIDA CEO Arunvir Singh underscored plans for a dedicated 75-meter interlink road within the Film City.
This infrastructure initiative, fully funded by YEIDA, aims to facilitate the smooth movement of large trucks and equipment essential for elaborate film productions.
