Taiwan Monitors Surge In Chinese Military Activity: 41 Aircraft, 7 Naval Vessels Tracked

On Saturday, Taiwan tracked 41 Chinese military aircraft, and 7 naval vessels operating around the nation.

On Saturday, Taiwan tracked 41 Chinese military aircraft, and 7 naval vessels operating around the nation. It was between 6 am on Friday to 6 am on Saturday.

According to the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence, 32 aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait.

The aircraft also entered Taiwan’s northern, southwestern and eastern Air Defence Identification Zone.

The Armed Forces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly. The forces have employed CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and coastal missile systems in response to the detected activities.

Taking to X, the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence said, “41 #PLA aircraft and 7 PLAN vessels operating around #Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 32 of the aircraft entered Taiwan’s northern, SW and eastern ADIZ. #ROCArmedForces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly.”

Earlier on Friday, Taiwan detected 36 Chinese military aircraft, and 7 naval vessels operating around the nation. It was between 6 am on Thursday to 6 am on Friday.

According to the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence, 34 aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait.

The aircraft also entered Taiwan’s southwestern and eastern Air Defence Identification Zone.

The Armed Forces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly. The forces have employed CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and coastal missile systems in response to the detected activities.

Taking to X, the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence said, “36 #PLA aircraft and 7 PLAN vessels operating around #Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 34 of the aircraft entered Taiwan’s SW and eastern ADIZ. #ROCArmedForces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly.”

Since September 2020, China has increased its use of gray zone tactics. This includes incrementally increasing the number of military aircraft and naval ships operating around Taiwan.
