Karnataka Government Approves Investment Totaling Rs 6,407.82 Crore

The minister, who presided over the meeting at the Karnataka Udyog Mitra (KUM) office, stated that the 128 projects would ensure equal investment throughout the state’s diverse regions

The Karnataka State-Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC) has approved 128 projects totaling Rs 6,407.82 crores, with the potential to create jobs for 33,771 people across the state.

“The proposals were cleared on Friday by the committee headed by Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development Minister M B Patil”, the statement reads.

The panel approved proposals submitted by Bengaluru-based companies, Gokula Education Foundation (Medical), and Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust, which are to invest Ra 484.33 crores and Rs 415 crores respectively, as flagship projects.

The minister, who presided over the meeting at the Karnataka Udyog Mitra (KUM) office, stated that the 128 projects would ensure equal investment throughout the state’s diverse regions.

The clearance committee approved 22 projects with an investment value of over Rs 50 crores.

Once implemented, the 22 projects will generate a total investment of Rs 4,230.64 crore, with the potential to create 24,846 employment.

As many as 104 new projects, with capital ranging from Rs 15 crore to Rs 50 crore were also approved with a projected investment of Rs 2,056.68 crore and the potential to create 8,425 jobs.

Two of the proposals approved by the committee on Friday call for increased capital investments in existing projects. These two plans will result in Rs 120.50 crore of investment in the state.

In addition to the huge investment projects approved in and around Bengaluru, the committee approved bids totaling more than Rs 200 crore in other districts of Karnataka.

Jayadi Techmac Private Ltd’s Rs 485 crore request to build up a machined casting in Belagavi, and Dhariwal Industries Pvt Ltd’s Rs 465 crore investment towards a mixed-use integrated project in Bengaluru Rural, are among the major projects authorized in regions outside Bengaluru.
