Noida JIIT Campus Hosts 5-Day Boot Camp Emphasizing Technical Knowledge in Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship

The Jaypee Institute of Information and Technology, Sector-62, Noida, has kickstarted a transformative 5-day boot camp program focusing on Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) from January 29 to February 2, 2024. This collaborative initiative is orchestrated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Innovation Cell (MIC) of the Ministry of Education. A momentous inauguration took place on Monday, with AICTE Chairman Professor T.G. Sitharam and Dr. DK Gupta, Chairman of Felix Hospital, jointly launching the program.

Recognizing the pivotal role of boot camps in fortifying students’ technical prowess and fostering self-reliance in the job sector, the second phase of IDE Bootcamps has been set in motion through the collaborative efforts of AICTE and the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education. Officials from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, were present to witness this significant launch.

Simultaneously, the second phase of innovation, design, and entrepreneurship-focused boot camps has been inaugurated at 10 locations across the country. AICTE Chairman T.G. Sitharam virtually inaugurated the boot camps from the Delhi headquarters, with Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in Noida playing a crucial role as one of the hosting institutions.

Anticipating the participation of over 3000 students from diverse regions, the five-day boot camps feature prominent figures such as Dr. DK Gupta, head of Felix Hospital, and Deepak Sharma, co-founder of India Accelerator, who graced the event as chief guests at Jaypee Institute. The inaugural ceremony commenced with Saraswati Vandana and the lighting of the lamp. Dr. DK Gupta shared insights into the dimensions and methods of becoming a successful entrepreneur, covering topics from crisis management to fundraising for startups.

Expressing his pride in being part of an initiative to promote entrepreneurial culture in the country, Dr. DK Gupta, Chairman of Felix Hospital, thanked the Central Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for supporting young innovators in transforming their ideas into successful entrepreneurial ventures.

Aligned with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Self-reliant India Mission, the program aims to empower innovators to explore the path of entrepreneurship and become job creators. Participants will undergo experiential training in design thinking, product design and engineering, ergonomics, sustainable business models, value propositions, and international markets. The boot camp also features a mentoring and pitching round, providing participants with an opportunity to present their ideas for possible mentoring support from the institute. This program is a significant step toward fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, contributing to the realization of a self-reliant India.
