Supreme Court Bar Association Organises Blood Donation Drive To Mark Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary

CJI Chandrachud, joined by all other judges, emphasized that this blood donation initiative on Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary is a commendable way to pay homage to his teachings.

Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, DY Chandrachud, has commended the Bar Association and solicitors for their exemplary efforts. CJI Chandrachud acknowledged the profound compassion exhibited by lawyers. Notably, the Supreme Court Bar Association organized a blood donation drive at the Supreme Court on Friday to mark Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary.

During the event, CJI Chandrachud, joined by all other judges, emphasized that this blood donation initiative on Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary is a commendable way to pay homage to his teachings. Swami Vivekananda advocated being mindful of the broader purpose of our existence and striving to contribute positively to others in our daily lives.

CJI Chandrachud further praised the lawyers’ commitment to society, stating that the blood donation camp exemplifies the legal community’s deep concern for people. He expressed gratitude to the doctors who participated in the Supreme Court blood donation camp. Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah also endorsed the significance of the blood donation camp, emphasizing the importance of donating blood for the welfare of society.

On January 12, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, President Draupadi Murmu paid tribute to the spiritual guru and social reformer, expressing hope that his teachings will continue to guide future generations. Prime Minister Modi also paid homage to Swami Vivekananda on this occasion.
