Dr. Probal Neogi of Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, Department of Surgery has been elected as President of the Association of Surgeons of India, an all-India surgeon body. Dr. Neogi took charge on 16 December in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Working in Neogi Medical College since 2002. This organization of surgeons is the second largest medical organization in the world after the American Medical Society.
More than 45 thousand surgeons of the country are associated with this organization. Dr. Neogi said that his endeavor will be to ensure that every person gets the benefit of the new experiments taking place in the country and the world related to surgery.
Technical workshops will be organized to skill the surgeons. We have to fulfill our social responsibilities. Surgery related facilities will be provided in rural areas of the country through public private partnership and charitable institutions.
