Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated on Saturday that in order for India to grow, it is necessary to pay attention to its youth, respect their decisions, provide a plan of action for their goals, and have faith in their ability.
Speaking at the 66th convocation of Sardar Patel University in Anand, Gujarat, Shah stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi developed a number of programs with the idea that the future of India can only be created by its youth.

Remembering Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the country’s first deputy prime minister and home minister, he said that the repeal of Article 370, which gave the former state of Jammu and Kashmir special status, was a tribute to him and that the previous Congress governments had failed to treat him with the dignity that such a figure deserved.
“You will have to listen to the voice of the youth, understand their choice, give an action plan to their aspirations, and believe in the power of the youth if you want a developed India to come to fruition,” Shah was cited by PTI.
The Narendra Modi government’s stance is to hear the youth out, respect their decision, provide a forum for their goals, and have faith in their abilities. He continued, “Narendrabhai has developed a number of programmes with the knowledge that the future of India can only be created by its youth.
“India would not exist today if Sardar Patel had not existed”
According to Shah, he didn’t realize that the country would not have existed (as it does now) if Sardar Patel hadn’t been there until he entered national politics in 2012 and traveled around the nation. He said that the country’s map would not have been conceivable without him.
The home minister stated, “Students may be aware of the issues in Hyderabad and Kashmir, but if Jodhpur, Junagadh, Hyderabad, and Lakshadweep are now a part of India, then it is because of Sardar Patel.”
The home minister claimed that he was really saddened to learn that Sardar Patel had approved the Article granting Jammu and Kashmir special status when he reviewed old records following PM Modi’s decision to repeal Article 370.
Article 370 was revoked by Narendra Modi in order to satisfy Sardar Saheb’s fantasy. Sad to say, even years after independence, Sardar Patel’s works did not receive the respect they so richly deserved. He did not even receive Bharat Ratna until the end of the Congress government. There were obstacles in the way of each step of treating him with dignity, Shah claimed.
He remarked, “When Modi became prime minister, he built the tallest statue of Sardar Patel in the world at Kevadia, which has become a popular tourist destination.”
On October 31, 2018, PM Modi dedicated the 182-meter-tall Statue of Unity at Kavadia, which is dedicated to Sardar Patel.
