Inviting investments for Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan says there are huge investment opportunities in the heartland of India.
Addressing to the gathering in the seminar, CM Shivraj said that there is immense potential in all industrial areas in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is a center of attraction for investors belonging to all sectors including the textile, food processing, and pharmaceutical sector. Here with the single window system. It is possible to complete the process of setting up the industry in a smooth and time-bound manner.
The CM further added that Madhya Pradesh is also one of the most prosperous states of the country in terms of tourism. The state government is committed to promoting investment in Madhya Pradesh to fulfill the resolve of making India a $5 trillion economy by the year 2026. A land bank of one lakh 22 thousand acres, adequate water, electricity, road network, skilled human resources and a peaceful environment are available in the state. All investor friends are welcome in Madhya Pradesh. Investors will not be allowed to face any kind of problem.
The MP Chief Minister was addressing the seminar on “Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh” at Hotel Hyatt Regency in Pune. The seminar was organized in the business city of Maharashtra on the second day of the two-day visit to promote investment and invite industrialists to the summit at the Global Investors Summit to be held in Indore in January 2023.
A day earlier on October 20, CM Shivraj also interacted with investors in Delhi holding one-to-one discussions with potential investors also.
Inviting potential investors to invest in the second largest state of the country, the Chief Minister said that e-vehicle is the need of the future. It has been decided to build a park for e-vehicle companies in the state. We have also laid a network of roads in Madhya Pradesh. Apart from that two expressways are being constructed in the state. Connecting the ravines of Chambal, the Atal Expressway and the Narmada Expressway from Amarkantak directly to the border of Gujarat are also being built. The irrigated area in Madhya Pradesh was earlier 7.5 lakh hectares, which we have increased to 45 lakh hectares. The irrigated area will be 65 lakh hectares in the next 3 years. For ten consecutive years, we have registered an agriculture growth rate of more than 18%, which is a miracle. Infrastructure, health education, good governance, and economy and employment are the priority areas for the state government.
Sharing the experiences during the Covid period, Chief Minister Chouhan said that during the Kovid period, I too got infected with Corona. At that time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while talking about turning disaster into opportunity, gave the mantra of “Self-reliant India”. We have made a roadmap of self-reliant Madhya Pradesh towards a self-reliant India, which is also being implemented. Madhya Pradesh is continuously moving towards industrial development. The state is also one of the most prosperous states in the country from the point of view of tourism. “Shri Mahakal Lok” launched by PM Modi is attracting the attention of the world.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan also said that a network of large and medium dams is being laid in the state, due to which the availability of water in the state will be easy. Madhya Pradesh is the first state where labor reforms have been done. Now women in the state can also work in 3 shifts. The state has an industry-friendly policy. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that I invite you all to the Indian Pravasi Diwas and Global Investors Summit. No one has to wait for the summit, anyone can start the process of investing immediately.
At the occasion, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Dattigaon said that Madhya Pradesh is making progress in the auto component, service sector, food processing, hospitality, textile, etc. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to have its own auto show. There are many ITIs here as well as IITs and IIMs. Global Skill Park has been set up in Bhopal with the help of Singapore, where skilled manpower is being created. Many agricultural products including wheat, rice, garlic, onion, maize, soybean, and dairy products are being exported by Madhya Pradesh to the Middle East and UAE. He said that Madhya Pradesh, which was once called BIMARU state, has today come under the category of developed states due to the firm determination and tireless efforts of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Sanjay Shukla, Principal Secretary, of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, gave information about the facilities and policies available for investment in the state. MD MPIDC Mr. John Kingsley thanked the industrialists gathered at the function. A short film depicting the rich, social, cultural, natural, industrial, and tourism heritage and infrastructure of Madhya Pradesh was also shown in the program.
