After 10 years of acid attack on woman, 2 brothers kill accused; arrested

On the eve of Diwali, Umesh Chauhan, the victim, went missing. His family searched for him but was unable to find him.

In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, a woman’s two brothers are accused of killed a man who was suspected of attacking her with acid ten years earlier. The brothers killed the man with an axe, transported his body on a bike, and dumped it in a river.

Although a team from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) is searching the river for the body, though it hasn’t been found yet.

On the eve of Diwali, Umesh Chauhan, the victim, went missing. His family searched for him but was unable to find him. The family members notified the police on Monday morning.

Sources claim that two brothers were arrested following police questioning. They made revelations of using an axe to kill Umesh, then dragged his body 200 meters before riding a bike and throwing the body into the river.

The victim belongs to Pipri, Uttar Pradesh. Information claims that ten years ago, after the woman and her family rejected their union, he allegedly threw acid on her.

One of the woman’s brothers was injured in the acid attack incident, and the other woman passed away while receiving treatment. The brother Upendra had made the decision to take revenge from Umesh.

Sources claim that the police have detained the two brothers who are accused of murder. Nevertheless, the police has not provided any formal confirmation of it.
