The US Embassy in India celebrated 2025 as a landmark year for bilateral relations, highlighting key agreements and diplomatic engagements.
In a video shared on social media, the Embassy underscored that both nations anticipate an even stronger partnership in 2026.
The footage showcased Prime Minister Narendra Modi meeting US President Donald Trump at the White House earlier this year. The leaders engaged in candid discussions, reinforcing their shared commitment to global stability and cooperation.
The video also captured External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s interactions with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during the Quad Foreign Ministers Meeting.
Both countries signed a 10-year update of the Framework for the US-India Major Defence Partnership, further solidifying strategic ties.
US Vice President JD Vance visited India, where PM Modi hosted him, his wife Usha Vance, and their children at his official residence. The visit reflected the personal and diplomatic rapport between the two nations.
In space and science collaboration, India and the US launched Nisar into orbit, highlighting their shared commitment to technological advancement and joint research.
The Trump administration appointed Sergio Gor as the next US Ambassador to India, strengthening diplomatic channels.

Earlier this month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with President Trump. They discussed bilateral relations, regional stability and international developments.
“Had a very warm and engaging conversation with President Trump. We reviewed the progress in our bilateral relations and discussed regional and international developments. India and the U.S. will continue to work together for global peace, stability and prosperity,” PM Modi posted.

Both leaders reviewed the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership and celebrated steady growth in cooperation across all sectors.
They explored expanding collaboration in critical technologies, energy and defence. They also discussed cooperation in security and other priority areas.
These efforts fall under the India-US COMPACT (Catalysing Opportunities for Military Partnership, Accelerated Commerce, and Technology) initiative.
They also exchanged views on regional and global developments, agreeing to address shared challenges collaboratively.
Their discussions emphasised mutual strategic interests, sustained momentum in trade, and the overarching goal of advancing peace, security, and prosperity worldwide.
Through these interactions and achievements, 2025 marked a robust year for US-India relations, setting the stage for a stronger, more resilient partnership in 2026. Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to shared growth, innovation, and global leadership.
