A message from Donald Trump expressing admiration for India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was read out at the India Today Conclave 2026 on Saturday by American activist Laura Loomer.
In the message, the US President conveyed his affection for India and hinted that he plans to visit the country again in the near future.
Loomer said she spoke to President Trump shortly before the event and read out his message to the people of India.
Quoting Trump, she said he loves India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him a ‘fantastic leader’ and a good friend, and hinted at visiting India again soon.
Her remarks drew attention at the conclave, where global politics and international relations were key topics.
Loomer said President Trump considers PM Modi a close friend and praised their strong ties.
Trump and PM Modi have maintained a high-profile partnership through several diplomatic engagements and major public events.
During his 2020 India visit, Trump attended the massive Namaste Trump event in Ahmedabad with PM Modi at the Narendra Modi Stadium, where both leaders highlighted the growing India–US partnership.
The two leaders have often praised each other and stressed cooperation in trade, defence and strategic ties.
Loomer, known for her strong support for Trump and links to the MAGA movement, drew attention with her remarks.
Her reading of Trump’s message again highlighted the close rapport between the two leaders and raised speculation about a possible future visit by Trump to India.
