Time Has Come To Achieve Peace In Russia-Ukraine conflict: German Chancellor Scholz

Russian President Vladimir Putin also acknowledged the potential contributions of India, China, and Brazil in addressing the conflict

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has supported Russia’s participation in a new summit to resolve the Ukraine crisis. In an interview with ZDF television, Scholz said the time has come to shift from the current military situation to a peace process. He stated that a new conference to address the crisis, which started in February 2022, will definitely occur. Scholz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agree that Russia should be part of this summit.

International Leaders Discuss Conflict Resolution

On Saturday, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni suggested that countries like India and China could play crucial roles in resolving the Ukraine conflict. At the Ambrosetti Forum in Cernobbio, Italy, Meloni noted that ongoing crises challenge economic globalization and international law. She argued that China and India should and could contribute to resolving the conflict, as global stability depends on both economic and legal principles.

Earlier in the week, Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged the potential contributions of India, China, and Brazil. During the 9th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Putin praised these countries for their genuine interest in addressing the conflict. He expressed confidence that leaders from these nations, including India, are committed to providing meaningful assistance.
