Taiwan Keeps Eye On Chinese Military Aircraft, Naval Vessels

Taiwan on Saturday said that it tracked 1 Chinese military aircraft and 5 naval vessels operating around the nation.

On Saturday, Taiwan tracked 1 Chinese military aircraft and 5 naval vessels operating around the nation. It was between 6 am on Friday to 6 am on Saturday.

According to the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence, the aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait.

The Armed Forces have monitored the situation and employed appropriate forces to respond.

Taking to X, the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence said, “1 PLA aircraft and 5 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. The aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait. #ROCArmedForces have monitored the situation and employed appropriate forces to respond.”

Earlier on Friday, Taiwan detected 6 naval vessels operating around the nation. It was between 6 am on Thursday to 6 am on Friday.

According to the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence, none of the aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait.

The Armed Forces have monitored the situation and tasked Navy Vessels and land-based missile systems to respond to the activities.

Taking to X, the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence said, “We detected 6 PLAN vessels around Taiwan up until 6 a.m.(UTC+8) today. #ROCArmedForces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly.”

Since September 2020, China has increased its use of gray zone tactics. This includes incrementally increasing the number of military aircraft and naval ships operating around Taiwan.
