London Covered In A Bright White Snow Blanket.
London woke up this morning on Monday, December 12, 2022 to a blanket of snow covering the city. Across London, snow began to fall yesterday evening, accumulating enough of the white stuff for some to make snowballs or have snowball fights.
Temperatures dropped to -1C in some parts of the city and the night was very cold. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for snow and ice which will remain in place till 9 am today as there will be some hindrance in travel due to snowfall.
The Met Office issued warnings of fog, snow and ice across London yesterday as temperatures dropped below zero.

Meanwhile, winter has knocked in India too. The temperature dropped below zero after snowfall in the higher reaches including Kashmir and Himachal. Due to which the temperature has also dropped in the plains. However, Delhi is still waiting for the harsh winter. Meanwhile, the weather in Mumbai has turned pleasant after light rain.
Talking about the rest of the plains, Churu in Rajasthan recorded a minimum temperature of 5 degrees Celsius. At the same time, temperature has also dropped in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. After the cyclonic storm Mundus, there has been a change in the weather in the southern states. It is raining at many places in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Tourists are enjoying snowfall in Himachal
The hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have been receiving continuous snowfall for the past few days. The temperature is continuously falling due to which the cold has increased. Tourists from other states are reaching here and enjoying the weather. The minimum temperature in parts of Himachal and Uttarakhand has dropped below normal to -3.0 degree Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the outbreak of cold is likely to increase from next week.
Srinagar recorded minus 1.0 degree Celsius
The mercury remained negative due to continuous snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir. There is fog in the plains in the morning. Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of minus 1.0 degree Celsius. The Mughal road connecting Shopian with Rajouri and Poonch remained closed for traffic for the second consecutive day on Friday due to snowfall. On the other hand, after light snowfall in Natha Top of Jammu, the cold has increased.
Churu is the coldest place in Rajasthan, the temperature has reached 5 degrees
Churu of Rajasthan experiences the coldest. The temperature dropped to 5 degree Celsius here on Sunday night. Fatehpur in Sikar recorded a minimum temperature of six degrees. The night temperature was 7.3 degrees in Karoli, 7.4 in Chittorgarh, 7.7 in Pilani (Jhanjhunu), 8.9 in Sangriya (Hanumangarh) and 10 degrees in Banasthali (Tonic) and Sekar. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather pattern is likely to remain the same during the next 24 hours.

Severe cold will start in Delhi soon
The cold is continuously increasing in Delhi. However, it is not as cold as it usually is in December. According to the Meteorological Department, the cold has increased due to falling mercury, but after December 15, the temperature will drop further. After this the people of Delhi will have to face severe cold. The maximum temperature in Delhi is currently being recorded around 24 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is around 8 degree Celsius.

Along with this, morning and night fog at many places has further increased the problem. Due to the reduced visibility due to this, traffic is greatly affected. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a forecast of cloudy and light rain throughout the day in Madhya Pradesh. After 2-3 days the temperature will drop and then the cold will increase.
