Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his two-day state visit to Slovakia on Tuesday, with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico personally seeing him off before his departure for France to attend the G7 Summit.
The gesture underscored the warmth of ties between the two nations and marked the successful conclusion of a visit that significantly strengthened bilateral relations.
Describing the trip as both historic and productive, PM Modi said the outcomes of the visit would further deepen cooperation between India and Slovakia. He highlighted the potential for stronger trade relations and greater opportunities for young people in both countries.
The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to the Slovak government and its people for their warm hospitality and thanked Prime Minister Fico for personally bidding him farewell.

The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the visit resulted in the elevation of India-Slovakia relations to a Comprehensive Partnership, opening new avenues for cooperation across several sectors.
During his stay in Bratislava, PM Modi held discussions with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and Slovak President Peter Pellegrini on a wide range of issues, including manufacturing, transport, innovation, investment, energy and digital technology.
The leaders discussed strengthening people-to-people ties and cooperation in emerging sectors.
PM Modi and President Pellegrini also attended a Yoga session and viewed a Varanasi-themed art exhibition featuring works by Slovak artists.
During the visit, Slovakia conferred its highest civilian honour, the Order of the White Double Cross (1st Class), on PM Modi, marking his 33rd international award. He later departed for France to attend the G7 Summit.
