Sanjay Jha-Led Delegation Reaches Jakarta To Promote India’s Anti-Terrorism Agenda

The visit is part of Operation Sindoor, India’s global campaign against terrorism.

The Indian Embassy in Jakarta confirmed the visit on X.

“The All-Party Parliamentary Delegation, led by Hon’ble MP Mr. Sanjay Kumar Jha, arrived in Jakarta as part of India’s diplomatic outreach on #OperationSindoor. India stands committed to fight terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. Through this outreach, India sets out to seek understanding and support of its historic friend and Comprehensive Strategic partner, Indonesia,” the post read.

In Jakarta, the team will meet top Indonesian leaders. They will engage with ministers, parliamentarians, and political leaders.

Meetings are also planned with the ASEAN Secretary General, resident envoys, academics, think tanks, and media. The delegation will also interact with the Indian community in Indonesia.

The delegation includes BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Hemang Joshi, and Pradan Baruah. It also features TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M) MP John Barittas, Congress leader Salman Khurshid, and former ambassador Mohan Kumar.

Message On Pakistan-Backed Terror Continues

The group completed earlier visits to Singapore, South Korea, and Japan. In each stop, they raised India’s concerns over Pakistan-backed cross-border terror.

In Singapore, they met Ministers Edwin Tong, Sim Ann, and Janil Puthucheary. They also held talks with MPs, business leaders, think tanks, media, and the diaspora.

The High Commission in Singapore shared a statement. It said the delegation outlined India’s new strategy post-Pahalgam terror attack.

They explained Operation Sindoor and India’s zero-tolerance stance.

The MPs said India will respond strongly to terror attacks. India will reject any nuclear threats. India will treat terror sponsors and masterminds alike.

They called on Singapore to continue its support in this global fight.
