King Charles will be coronated in May, it is definitely going to be one of the most important days of the King’s life. It is confirmed that Prince Harry will attend the King’s coronation. Though, the grand event will miss the presence of the Prince’s wife, Meghan Markle. According to the reports, a big factor behind his presence is ‘fear’. The reason for the same is that Buckingham Palace announced the Duke of Sussex’s presence in the May ceremony. It is stated that Meghan Markle will stay at home in California with their children

There was a lot that could happen

Earlier, talking about the coronation, Prince Harry had said, “There’s a lot that can happen between now and then. But, you know, the door is always open. The ball is in their court. There’s a lot to be discussed and I really hope they can – that they are willing to sit down and talk about it because there’s a lot that’s happened in six years and prior to that as well.”

It was assumed that Prince Harry might not attend the ceremony. But this confirmation has ended all those speculations. In a statement, the Palace said, “Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.”

Prince Harry would have regretted turning the event down

The Telegraph reported that Prince Harry was deeply aware that the ceremony would be “pretty much the most important day” of King Charles’ life. According to the story, Prince Harry was aware that declining the chance to attend the coronation would be something he would always regret.

In his memoir ‘Spare’, Prince Harry wrote warmly of his relationship with his “Pa” and later said in an interview that he would “always love” his father.

According to the reports, “Harry has been very clear and his position hasn’t wavered – he isn’t going to come if he feels the atmosphere will be as toxic as it was during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and funeral. He’s said he wants to reconcile with his family and it’s their call, but so far nothing has changed.”
