Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the people and government of Sweden, along with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, after concluding his official visit to the country, describing the trip as highly productive and significant for India-Sweden relations.
Sharing details of the visit on social media, PM Modi said the discussions produced several important outcomes that would give fresh momentum to bilateral ties between the two countries.
The Prime Minister highlighted the elevation of India-Sweden ties to a Strategic Partnership as one of the major achievements of the visit.

He also referred to the launch of the India-Sweden Joint Innovation Partnership 2.0 and the India-Sweden Technology and Artificial Intelligence Corridor aimed at strengthening cooperation in innovation and advanced technologies.
PM Modi further noted that both countries had set an ambitious target of doubling bilateral trade over the next five years while expanding cooperation across sectors, including technology, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, research, healthcare and clean energy.
During the visit, PM Modi addressed the European Round Table for Industry in Gothenburg and highlighted opportunities under the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement.
He said India’s economic reforms, digital infrastructure and manufacturing growth created strong opportunities for global investors.
PM Modi also met Swedish business leaders alongside Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Crown Princess Victoria to discuss cooperation in AI, technology, healthcare, innovation and security.
He encouraged Swedish and European companies to expand investments in India’s infrastructure, clean energy, mobility and advanced manufacturing sectors.
The visit formed part of PM Modi’s broader Europe tour aimed at strengthening India’s strategic and economic partnerships with European nations.
