Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke of Britain’s King Charles III on several subjects of mutual interest, on Thursday. The two dignitaries also exchanged greetings on the upcoming festive occasions of Christmas and the New Year.
PM Modi Discussed About Strengthening Bonds
PM discussed the ways to strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations and exchange views on various global and bilateral issues. PM Modi took his X handle and tweeted while sharing the highlights of the conversations. He wrote, “It was a pleasure to speak with HM King Charles III today. Reaffirmed commitment to bolster India-UK ties.”

PM Modi Recalls Historic Relations
As per the statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the British Monarch and PM had discussions on the historic relations between the two countries. The two reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the United Kingdom.
The statement by PMO read, “They exchanged views on the Commonwealth of Nations and the recently concluded Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa.”
“Discussions were also held on a number of subjects of mutual interest, including Climate Action and sustainability. Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for His Majesty’s sustained advocacy and initiatives on these issues and briefed him on the multiple initiatives undertaken by India”, the statement further added.
