Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of Myanmar’s State Security and Peace Commission, on Sunday in Tianjin, China, where the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit is underway. The two leaders reviewed the current state of relations and explored ways to expand cooperation.

This was the first bilateral engagement between PM Modi and Min Aung Hlaing since the Prime Minister’s third term began. The leaders had last interacted in April during the BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok.
