Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Nice, France, on Saturday for a State visit at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. The trip is expected further to strengthen the longstanding partnership between the two countries.
In a message posted on X, the Prime Minister said his itinerary includes visits to Nice, Evian, and Paris. He added that the visit features a series of bilateral and multilateral engagements designed to reinforce India’s relationships with important international partners.

PM Modi will meet President Macron in Nice on June 14 for comprehensive discussions on bilateral relations.
The meeting will mark their first summit in Nice since India and France elevated their ties to the level of a Special Global Strategic Partnership.
During the visit, PM Modi and President Macron will jointly launch the Bharat Innovates initiative. The programme will bring together prominent start-ups, innovators, and venture capital investors from India, France, and other nations.
The visit highlights the strong momentum in exchanges between the two governments.
Both sides are expected to discuss a wide range of areas, including science, technology, trade, culture, and people-to-people engagement.
The discussions aim to expand cooperation and create fresh opportunities for businesses, innovators, and academic communities in both countries.
At President Macron’s invitation, PM Modi will also take part in the G7 Summit in Evian on June 16 and 17. His participation reflects India’s increasing importance in global affairs.
Following the G7 Summit, the Prime Minister will travel to Paris on June 18. He will join President Macron at the VivaTech Summit, one of Europe’s most prominent technology and innovation events.
India will feature the largest national pavilion at this year’s summit. The showcase will likely highlight the country’s growing leadership in innovation, digital technologies, and entrepreneurship.
PM Modi’s engagements in France are likely to strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors. The visit also reinforces the commitment of both nations to advancing a forward-looking strategic partnership.
