Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for New Delhi after completing his visit to France, where he participated in key international engagements, interacted with global leaders and strengthened bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the visit provided a significant boost to the India-France Special Global Strategic Partnership and reflected the shared intent of both countries to deepen collaboration across several important sectors.

During his stay, PM Modi travelled to Nice, Evian and Paris. His programme included the inauguration of the Bharat Innovates event, participation in the G7 Summit, an address at the VivaTech 2026 technology conference, meetings with leading French business executives and interactions with the Indian community.
Reflecting on the visit, the Prime Minister described it as wide-ranging and outcome-oriented. He thanked French President Emmanuel Macron, the French government and the people of France for their hospitality, expressing confidence that ties between the two countries would continue to grow stronger.
This visit to France has been extensive when it comes to engagement and outcomes. It began in Nice, where the Bharat Innovates programme was held, followed by Evian for G7 and then in Paris, where I addressed VivaTech 2026 and a large community programme, as well as met CEOs.

In Paris, PM Modi addressed members of the Indian diaspora, many of whom welcomed the opportunity to meet him and described the occasion as memorable. He also delivered a speech at VivaTech 2026, one of Europe’s leading technology and innovation gatherings.
As the visit concluded, President Macron shared a farewell video message for PM Modi, including remarks in Hindi and English.
Highlighting the close relationship between the two leaders, President Macron praised the enduring friendship between France and India and said he looked forward to visiting India next year.

The France leg marked the third and final phase of PM Modi’s two-nation tour, which also included Slovakia.
