Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Tel Aviv on a two-day State Visit to Israel, his first since 2017.
At Ben Gurion Airport, he received a warm welcome from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara, showcasing their enduring friendship and the strong India-Israel relationship cultivated over the last decade.
Both leaders exchanged a heartfelt embrace, reflecting their personal rapport alongside a strategic partnership.
During his visit, PM Modi will meet Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog, and become the first Indian PM to address the Knesset.
He will attend programmes on innovation, technology, defence, agriculture, and water management, reinforcing the growing multidimensional India-Israel Strategic Partnership.
Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “Landed in Israel. I am extremely honoured to be received by Prime Minister Netanyahu and Mrs. Netanyahu at the airport. I look forward to engaging in bilateral discussions and fruitful outcomes that strengthen the India-Israel friendship.”

The Prime Minister also expressed eagerness to engage with the Indian diaspora, which has long supported the friendship between the two nations.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu described PM Modi as a ‘dear friend’ and called the visit a milestone in bilateral relations.
In a cabinet meeting shared on X, Netanyahu emphasised cooperation in high-tech, artificial intelligence, and quantum technologies, describing India and Israel as like-minded partners committed to regional stability, innovation, and security.

PM Modi expressed confidence that his visit would strengthen India-Israel ties and promote a shared vision for a resilient, innovative, and prosperous future. He further highlighted his upcoming Knesset address as a tribute to the strong parliamentary and democratic links between the two nations.
The visit will advance cooperation in defence, technology, agriculture, and people-to-people initiatives, reinforcing the long-term strategic partnership and building on a decade of trust and innovation.
