Pakistan Issues Warning Of Potential Indian Military Action Within 36 Hours

In a dramatic escalation of regional tensions, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, convened an emergency press conference at 2 AM on Wednesday, declaring that credible intelligence indicated India was planning a military offensive against Pakistan within the next 24 to 36 hours.

“We have reliable, intelligence-based information that India is preparing for a military strike,” Tarar asserted. “Should India proceed with such an act of aggression, Pakistan will respond with full force.”

Strong Warning To India

Reiterating Pakistan’s position, Tarar emphasised that the country would defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity at any cost.

He warned New Delhi of severe consequences if a conflict were triggered.

“Any war imposed on us will bring disastrous and far-reaching consequences. The responsibility for those consequences will lie solely with India,” he stated firmly.

Appeal To The Global Community

Furthermore, Tarar appealed to the international community to urgently intervene and take note of what he described as India’s ‘planned aggression’.

He criticised India for not providing any evidence of Pakistani involvement in the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, despite Islamabad’s willingness to cooperate in a neutral investigation.

“India has failed to share any proof with us regarding the Pahalgam incident,” he said. “Yet we possess credible evidence of India’s ongoing involvement in cross-border terrorism. The global community must recognise the danger of New Delhi manufacturing a pretext for military action.”

He also condemned India’s unilateral approach, saying, “India’s role as judge, jury and executioner is categorically rejected by Pakistan.”

Mounting Tensions Along The Border

The press briefing took place amid heavy troop deployments by both nations along their shared borders.

Military and diplomatic tensions have continued to escalate, with each side implementing retaliatory measures.

Pakistan has already closed its airspace to Indian aircraft, while India has responded by suspending the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT). A longstanding bilateral water-sharing agreement considered critical to regional stability.

Preceding Warnings And Strategic Concerns

Tarar’s remarks followed closely on the heels of a statement by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, who had earlier warned of an ‘imminent’ Indian military incursion.

Asif also reiterated that Pakistan’s nuclear weapons would only be used in the event of an existential threat.

With both sides issuing stern warnings and regional temperatures rising rapidly, observers fear that the situation may deteriorate further unless diplomatic channels are urgently activated.
