Search team on Saturday concluded rescue operation for victims of the landslides and flash floods in the mining areas of Bone Bolango regency in Indonesia’s Gorontalo province concluded on Saturday, a senior rescuer said.
According to Heriyanto, the head of the provincial search and rescue office, the operation resulted in 27 confirmed deaths, while 15 people remained missing.

“We stopped the search operation today. We have found 27 bodies. Fifteen others are still missing,” Heriyanto said.
He said that up to 283 persons were spared from the natural calamity that destroyed the mining camps a week ago.
According to Bagus Asrama, chief of the operative unit of the province search and rescue office, more than 400 people took part in the search and rescue operation, including soldiers, police officers, employees of the local rescue office, and representatives of the local disaster agency.
The search has ended in accordance with established protocol, which stipulates that search and rescue operations must continue for seven days before a determination is made regarding whether to continue.
