'Operation Sindoor' Diplomacy: Indian Delegation Reaches Italy After France

Following a productive tour of France, the Indian all-party delegation, headed by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, arrived in Italy early Wednesday (IST) to continue its diplomatic mission focused on strengthening international consensus against terrorism.

Warm Welcome In Rome

Upon arrival in Rome, the delegation was received by India’s Ambassador to Italy, Vani Rao.

The Indian Embassy confirmed the visit will include extensive engagement with Italian political and academic circles, focusing on India’s anti-terror stance post-‘Operation Sindoor’.

The nine-member delegation reflects India’s political diversity, comprising MPs from the BJP, Congress, AIADMK, and Shiv Sena-UBT.

It also includes former Union Minister MJ Akbar and former Ambassador Pankaj Saran, adding diplomatic and strategic heft to the team.

At the heart of the delegation’s outreach is India’s response to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, especially in the aftermath of the April 22 Pahalgam attack.

Through these meetings, India is delivering a strong message of zero tolerance for terrorism.

During their French leg, the delegation met with parliamentarians from both the National Assembly and the Senate.

French lawmakers expressed firm support for India’s anti-terror efforts and acknowledged the strength of the Indo-French strategic partnership.

Media Briefings In Paris

Indian MPs held candid interactions with international media in Paris, highlighting India’s resolve to take decisive action against terror camps and those harbouring UN-designated terrorists in Pakistan.

Ravi Shankar Prasad emphasised that the world must unite against terrorism.

In his posts on social media, he outlined how India’s firm military response and diplomatic efforts are reshaping global awareness of cross-border terrorism threats.

In Italy, the delegation will meet with key figures from government, academia, and the Indian diaspora to share India’s ‘new normal’ approach toward terrorism.

These conversations aim to deepen India’s strategic ties with Italy in the security domain.

As the delegation continues its European outreach, India’s consistent message remains clear: the international community must stand united against terrorism in all its forms.

The visit to Italy is another significant step in reinforcing India’s global leadership on counter-terror efforts.
