Israel killed at least 70 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip in airstrikes on Saturday, as the ongoing conflict continues to escalate.
According to sources, Israeli aircraft launched 30 separate airstrikes across Gaza, leading to the deaths of dozens. Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defence in Gaza, confirmed that a residential house in the eastern part of Gaza City was targeted.
Civil Defence teams recovered 11 bodies from the rubble, including those of women and children. Several other individuals were rescued, though they had sustained injuries.
The Al-Ahli-Arab Hospital in Gaza reported receiving three bodies resulting from an Israeli bombing in the Al-Daraj area, also in the eastern part of Gaza City. Local media outlet Xinhua confirmed the details.
In another attack, Israeli aircraft targeted a vehicle carrying aid security personnel from a private security company in the Al-Satar Al-Sharqi area of Khan Younis, located in southern Gaza. Eyewitnesses and local sources confirmed the incident, highlighting the ongoing impact of the airstrikes on critical infrastructure.
The Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis issued a statement saying that the air raid led to the deaths of six people, with several others injured. Additionally, around 20 people were wounded in airstrikes targeting two houses and a tent in the western and central parts of Khan Younis.
The ongoing Israeli attacks have taken a significant toll on the Palestinian population. Gaza’s Health Ministry confirmed that the total death toll from the conflict had risen to 45,717 as of Saturday, underscoring the continuing humanitarian crisis in the region.
As airstrikes and clashes persist, the humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire, with numerous casualties and widespread destruction across the Strip. The international community continues to call for an end to the violence, but efforts to broker peace have so far been unsuccessful.
