Israeli missiles targeted Iran’s Airport late on Thursday in the latest of the tit-for-tat exchange of Iran’s retribution.
According to the report, several flights above Iran’s airspace diverted amid tensions with Israel.
Hossein Dalirian, Iran’s space agency spokesperson, stated, “Multiple drones have been successfully shot down by the country’s air defence, there are no report reports of missile attack for now”.
Several Iranian nuclear sites are located in notably Natanz, the focal point of Iran’s uranium enrichment programme. The nuclear facilities in Isfahan province are entirely secure, as per the report.
Israel warned it would respond after Iran launched hundreds of missiles and drones at it over the weekend. The majority of them were intercepted. The strike followed an attack on Iran’s consulate in Damascus, which Israel was widely blamed for.
Tehran had warned arch-foe Israel that any attack would spark a direct and punishing response.
