According to media reports, Iran named the operation “Annunciation of Victory”. However, the missiles failed to cause major damage. The US Patriot missile defence systems intercepted the missiles targeting American bases in Qatar.
The US also activated its air defence system at Ain Al-Asad airbase in Iraq in response to the threat.

India raises alarm over nuclear facilities
On the same day, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Shambhu S. Kumaran, raised serious concerns at a special IAEA Board of Governors meeting.
“Ensuring the safety and security of nuclear facilities is a high priority, keeping in mind the possible consequences of such attacks for public health and the environment,” Ambassador Kumaran said.
He expressed India’s deep concern over the rising conflict in the Middle East, including the recent attacks on nuclear sites in Iran.
He urged the IAEA to regularly update the Board on the extent of damage and radiation levels at these nuclear facilities.
Ambassador Kumaran reiterated India’s call for restraint and stressed that all parties must avoid actions that may jeopardise the safety of nuclear infrastructure.
He also affirmed India’s readiness to extend all necessary support in addressing the unfolding crisis.
