Iran Launches Fresh Missile Strike On Israel Hours After Trump’s Ceasefire Declaration

Just hours after US President Donald Trump claimed a ceasefire between Iran and Israel had been reached, missile sirens blared across parts of Israel on Tuesday, prompting urgent shelter warnings for residents.

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed the detection of incoming threats and activated defensive systems to intercept the missiles.

Emergency responders, including Magen David Adom, were deployed to Beersheba, where a ballistic missile struck a building.

While no injuries were immediately reported, damage assessments were underway.

Authorities continued to monitor for additional incoming threats.

Iran clarifies conditional ceasefire position

Earlier, Iran had announced that it was halting military operations against Israel from 4 AM local time.

However, Tehran clarified that its ceasefire depended on Israel ceasing its military actions.

The Iranian government denied receiving any formal ceasefire proposal from the United States and stated that Israel initiated the hostilities.

Iranian Foreign Minister reiterated the conditional nature of Iran’s ceasefire, stating that Iran’s military pause would continue only if Israel reciprocated by ending its strikes.

President Trump’s ceasefire claim sparks confusion

US President Donald Trump had earlier declared that both Israel and Iran had agreed to a complete ceasefire.

In a post on Truth Social, he congratulated both nations and expressed optimism that peace had been achieved.

Trump’s claim came after Iran launched missiles at US bases in Qatar, which he referred to as a symbolic move.

However, Iran’s quick denial of any formal ceasefire deal raised doubts about the validity of Trump’s announcement. As of now, Israel has not officially responded to the claim.

Conflict enters day 12 with high casualties

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran entered its 12th day, originating from Israel’s launch of ‘Operation Rising Lion’, which targeted Iranian nuclear and military assets.

In retaliation, Iran fired multiple waves of missiles at Israeli territory.

Reports estimate that around 400 people have died in Iran, while 24 fatalities have been recorded in Israel since the conflict began.

US involvement escalates tensions

The situation escalated significantly after the US launched precision airstrikes on three major Iranian nuclear sites, Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

The attacks triggered widespread alerts and raised concerns about a broader regional war, with multiple countries now closely monitoring the deteriorating security landscape in the Middle East.
