Vivek Ramaswamy takes name back from US elections' race
Never would it have happened in the history of US elections that not only a candidate has taken his name back from the contestant list of US elections but also endorsed the other one. Vivek Ramaswamy, a multimillionaire Indian-American entrepreneur-turned-politician recently did something that fits the above given situation. Vivek Ramaswamy took his name off the contestant list of US elections after his poor show in Monday’s Iowa caucuses. This was not it, he is putting up Trump’s name as the next US President.
“I will stick to the truth tonight. The first hard truth and this was hard for me, I gotta admit this, but we’ve looked at it every which way. And I think it is true that we did not achieve the surprise that we wanted to deliver tonight,” Ramaswamy told his disappointed supporters in Des Moines, Iowa.
The youngest candidate running in elections
Ramaswamy was the youngest contender for the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential candidacy, coming in at 38 years old. With 7.7% of the total votes cast on Monday, the biotech entrepreneur came in a very distant fourth place.
Results of low caucus
The 2024 presidential contest officially began with the Iowa caucus. With 51% of the vote, the former president Trump won the state and solidified his position to win the party’s presidential selection in November, challenging Democratic incumbent Joe Biden.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis received 21.2% of the total votes cast, compared to Trump’s 51%. Nikki Haley, an Indian-American who served as governor of South Carolina, finished third with 19.1% of the vote. Ramaswamy told his Iowan fans, flanked by his wife Apporva, that he had contacted Trump to congratulate him on winning the caucus and to throw his hat behind him.
“As I’ve said since the beginning, there are two America First candidates in this race. And earlier tonight I called Donald Trump to tell him that I — congratulate him on his victory, and now going forward, you will have my full endorsement for the presidency,” Ramaswamy said. One of his supporters was heard saying: “Don’t Do It.”

Performance of Vivek Ramaswamy in US elections so far
Fox News said that Ramaswamy, who had almost no name recognition when he entered the race in February of last year, defeated a number of well-known Republicans, including former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, and former Vice President Mike Pence.
With the publication of his book “Woke, Inc.” in 2021, he gained prominence in conservative circles by highlighting the ways that social justice and identity politics had negatively impacted businesses.
