The Indian diaspora in Brazil has expressed pride in India’s resolute response to terrorism and its progress under PM Modi.

Indian Diaspora In Brazil Praises ‘Operation Sindoor’ As Parliamentary Delegation Prepares Visit

The Indian parliamentary delegation, led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, is preparing to visit Brazil as part of its global mission to highlight the importance of ‘Operation Sindoor’ and reaffirm India’s uncompromising stance on terrorism.

The Indian community in Brazil eagerly awaits the delegation’s arrival, showing strong support for the government’s counter-terror efforts.

Currently in Colombia, the delegation has also visited New York, Panama, and Guyana.

After Brazil, the team will proceed to Washington to continue its outreach.

Diaspora Voices Pride & Support

Rahul Ghansola, an Uttarakhand-origin member of the Indian diaspora in Brazil, shared his pride in India’s decisive response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

“We are very proud that our government responded firmly to terrorists after the Pahalgam attack. We are proud to call ourselves Indians,” he told IANS.

Ghansola praised the strengthening of India’s armed forces since Prime Minister Modi assumed office.

He added, “The all-party delegation’s visit is very meaningful to us. Our leaders will present India’s anti-terror stance clearly to the world. This fills us with pride and confidence.”

Ankit Rawat, another member of the diaspora, echoed these sentiments.

“We feel proud that our government has taken firm action against terrorists. Pakistan continues to sponsor cross-border terrorism, but India has progressed steadily, especially under PM Modi’s leadership,” he said.

Rawat noted that even Brazilians recognise India’s growth and resolve under PM Modi’s administration.

The delegation features representatives from across India’s political spectrum, including Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, Shambhavi of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Sarfaraz Ahmad of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, and Milind Murli Deora of the Shiv Sena.

BJP leaders Shashank Mani Tripathi, Bhubaneswar Kalita, and Tejasvi Surya also joined, alongside GM Harish Balayogi of the Telugu Desam Party, part of the National Democratic Alliance.

Highlighting India’s Firm Stand Against Terrorism

This multiparty initiative seeks to highlight India’s firm response to cross-border terrorism, especially following the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people.

The attack was linked to ‘The Resistance Front’, a Lashkar-e-Taiba affiliate based in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

‘Operation Sindoor’ represented India’s calibrated military response, targeting terror launchpads and key infrastructure along the Line of Control.

The operation exposed Pakistan’s ongoing support for terrorism, reaffirming India’s commitment to national security.

The delegation aims to carry this message globally, uniting diaspora voices in support of India’s resolve against terrorism.

Their engagement in Brazil and other nations is expected to strengthen international understanding of India’s security challenges and the rationale behind ‘Operation Sindoor’.

This visit and the ongoing outreach underscore the growing confidence within the Indian diaspora and reinforce India’s global narrative against terrorism and its pursuit of peace and stability.
