
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Wednesday extended warm wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday. She wished him good health and energy to continue leading India toward a bright future while further strengthening India–Italy relations.
“Happy 75th birthday to the Indian Prime Minister @narendramodi. His strength, his determination, and his ability to lead millions of people are a source of inspiration. With friendship and esteem, I wish him health and energy to continue leading India toward a bright future and to further strengthen the relations between our Nations,” she posted on X.

Prime Minister Modi, born on September 17, 1950, in Gujarat’s Mehsana district, turned 75 today. He served as Chief Minister of Gujarat for three consecutive terms from 2001 to 2014 before becoming India’s Prime Minister in 2014. He is now serving his third consecutive term as Prime Minister.

The two leaders’ friendly exchanges have drawn praise from citizens of both nations.
On September 10, PM Modi and Meloni held a telephonic conversation to reaffirm their joint commitment to deepening the India–Italy Strategic Partnership.
Meloni expressed support for India’s upcoming AI Impact Summit 2026 and welcomed progress on the India–EU trade agreement.
PM Modi thanked her for supporting connectivity initiatives through the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEEC). Both leaders also exchanged views on regional and global issues, including the Ukraine conflict. They agreed on the need for an early and peaceful resolution.
