Prince Harry, Meghan Markle cancelled party at the last minute after media reports on Netflix deal left them furious
According to rumours, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry abruptly cancelled a party earlier this month after becoming enraged by media allegations. On July 4, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were rumoured to be organising a large gathering with friends to commemorate the Fourth of July.
When Meghan “instructed the planners to call it off,” the gazebos that had been set up in the garden of their Montecito house were taken down. According to a source, the couple was upset by public allegations that their business agreement with Netflix was in jeopardy. The source informed that “they had a sizable party planned at their home, which they cancelled just three days out.”
The deal with Spotify
They claimed that there was “no choice but to cancel” for the Duke and Duchess. Just a few days after the couple’s breakup with Spotify, allegations that Meghan and Harry’s contract with Netflix was in jeopardy appeared.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Spotify allegedly “mutually agreed to part ways” in a joint statement released last month. It said that everyone involved in the Archetypes podcast was “proud of the series we made together”. After Meghan and Harry were unable to produce the required amount of content Spotify was eager to cancel the series.
Bill Simmons, who is the Head of Podcast Innovation and Monetisation even publicly labelled the couple with abusive words. Shortly afterwards, a source at Netflix was reported to have suggested a significant sum of money could be withheld from the couple unless they started pitching better ideas.
Reportedly Netflix was pleased to sign Harry and Meghan and is looking for some great ideas going forward, But the remainder of the deal depends on the condition of them producing some good ideas. A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has denied the Netflix deal could end.
