In the Kurram region of Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, an explosion at a wedding ceremony on Sunday left eighteen persons injured, according to authorities.
The police said that the incident occurred when some unidentified individuals threw hand grenades at the ceremony, where a sizable crowd had gathered to celebrate, according to the Xinhua news agency.

According to the authorities, the perpetrators left the scene following the attack.
Three of the injured have been moved to a local hospital and are in critical condition. The area has been blocked off by police, and an investigation is being conducted.
Thus far, no group or individual has taken credit for the attack.
