The discussions covered political, economic, defence, energy, space, mobility and people-to-people ties.
The leaders are expected to explore wider industrial cooperation in railways, tunnelling and steel value chains. They will further examine new business-to-business opportunities and greater access to the Russian market.
The agenda includes stronger civil nuclear cooperation, covering fuel-cycle and life-cycle support.
Both sides will discuss critical minerals, fertiliser cooperation and strategic joint ventures. They are expected to explore ways to increase opportunities for skilled Indian workers in Russia.
Before their Bishkek meeting, Prime Minister Modi and Putin met in New Delhi for the 23rd Annual Summit in December 2025. At Bishkek, they reviewed the 27th India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Cultural matters, held in Moscow on August 24.
