Kazakhstan Plane Crash: in one of the horrific plane crashes, an Azerbaijani passenger plane crashed in Kazakhstan on Wednesday, leaving only 25 survivors of total passengers.
According to the Kazakhstan Emergencies Ministry, a Russian news agency reported that flight-8432 operated by Azerbaijan Airlines en route to Grozny in Russia’s Chenchanya from Baku. The flight caught fire in Aktau Kazakhstan following the crash.
Preliminary reports suggest that only a few passengers survived the crash, while dozens are feared dead. Notably, the accident occurred at Aktau airport as the flight from Baku to Chechnya region was rerouted due to the fog in Grozny.
BBC reported 67 people on board including 5 crew members, citing the transport ministry.

Dramatic visuals of the crash circulated on social media, showing the aircraft plunging to the ground and erupting into a massive fireball. Other footage depicted first responders working near the wreckage, attempting to rescue survivors amidst the devastation.
“Fifty-two personnel and 11 units of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan have been deployed. Upon arrival, the aircraft was found ablaze. Rescue operations are ongoing, and information about the victims is being clarified,” the statement from the Ministry of Emergencies said.
Initial reports indicate that Azerbaijan Airlines flight 8243 was carrying 62 passengers and five crew members. However, Azerbaijan Airlines has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
Authorities continue rescue and recovery efforts as investigations into the cause of the crash are underway.
