On Wednesday, the Iranian judiciary hanged five men in a daring effort to stop sexual abuse. In May 2022, the guys were held responsible for the kidnapping and group rape of a lady in Marand. The nation was shocked by this occurrence, but justice was done.
The men were captured just four days after the horrible crime, according to the announcement of the executions on the judiciary’s Mizan Online website. Although Mizan did not disclose more information, these people were also connected to other crimes.

Iran recently killed three men who were found guilty of raping women after tricking them into visiting a phony cosmetic surgery facility. The men were executed in the southern province of Hormozgan, where they had been convicted of plotting several sexual assault incidents in the latter half of 2021.

It is clear that Iran is committed to maintaining justice in situations of sexual assault. Amnesty International, a human rights organization, has condemned the country for its high execution rate. Iran is now the country with the second-highest execution rate, behind only China. According to Amnesty, Iran executed at least 582 people last year, which is a record high since 2015.
Furthermore, according to Amnesty International, Iran has dramatically increased the number of executions it has carried out overall for all offences. At least 282 individuals have been put to death in the nation so far in 2023, almost twice as many as were documented at the start of June in the previous year.
