The Supreme Court cautioned Ashish Mishra, son of former Union Minister Ajay Mishra, for violating bail conditions in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. The warning came after lawyer Prashant Bhushan raised concerns about Mishra’s public meetings, which allegedly breach court-imposed restrictions.

Claims of Bail Violations

Bhushan informed the court that Ashish Mishra attended a prohibited location on October 2, where he held a public meeting. He emphasized that no hearing date was set for October 3, making the visit unauthorized. Bhushan offered to present photographic evidence in court. In response, Mishra’s lawyer contested the validity of the claims and suggested that relevant images should be submitted.

The court granted Ashish Mishra bail under strict conditions. He must leave Uttar Pradesh within a week, cannot reside in UP, Delhi, or the NCR, and must inform the court of his whereabouts. Additionally, he must surrender his passport, refrain from influencing witnesses, and avoid tampering with evidence.
